Keeping Safe While Cooking Outdoors

Spending time outdoors is an activity that can be both fulfilling and fun. While the thrill of wildlife, the mystery of the woods and the freshness of the air are features of outdoor camping that are desirable, the preparation and consumption of meals is one thing that helps to enhance the experience. Cooking Outdoors Many will attest that food prepared outdoors seems to taste better than those prepared in the kitchen, even with the same ingredients and cooking methods. As a result, preparing and eating meals while on camping trips are highly anticipated by campers. However, in order to ensure that everyone enjoys a happy meal, there are a few things that should be observed to ensure that cooking outdoors does not cause danger to anyone. The World’s Coolest Tents

When it comes to tents I am a huge nerd and love absolutely everything about them.  The coolest tents might be a very subjective subject but I will try and discuss the facts as much as possible.

I’m such a big fan of tents that I’m somewhat of a collector and have far more than I need lying around my house; some of them are in bad shape and really should just be thrown out.

The reason I have so many tents is  I love buying them when they come out.

I understand that for some people buying a tent when it’s 10 years old and going cheap at a garage sale makes financial sense, but I love a brand new tent innovation that’s changed something fundamental and is going to radicalize my camping experience!

So due to my love of tents, the following is my tent wish list, a bunch of incredible tents that would be a blast to try out in the w…

Hayfield Camping and Caravanning Club Review

Hayfield Camping and Caravanning review are based on a recent stay I had there. the limitation of my review is I was only there for one night. The experience started with a phone call to the site where I was stated that I would arrive reasonably late. This was not acceptable I was told I couldn't get on the site and that it was better to turn up the next day. No booking was offered for the next day. When I turned up they didn't want to let me on to the site as I didn't have a booking.  I guess I was lucky they had some spare space but the site didn't look full especially as my tent was about two meters squared. I won't go into details about the price but as a non-member, the pitch was about £16 which seemed quite expensive. I went to purchase a chocolate bar and wasn't allowed to pay for the both with my card, something about two different businesses. it wasn't really customer friendly. The staff did allow me on and were very pleasant. The camping ground is quite small wi…

Amazing Tips that Will Make Your Camping Holiday Easier

Heading out on a camping holiday? Camping is a great way to get in touch with nature, explore your adventurous side, and just sit back and forget about life for a while. But in keeping your camping trip as peaceful and relaxing as possible, there are a few tips and tricks that you should take along with you. Here is some of our “stay safe” advice for campers:

• Bring a compass.

Venturing into the woods is an essential part of camping, but you should never do so without the help of a compass. Even the most advanced campers and hunters can lose their sense of direction in the woods. So if you’re heading into unfamiliar territory, it’s better to be safe than sorry.

▪ Bring plenty of water.

While camping you will be exposed to plenty of sun. And if you are like most campers, you will be doing plenty of walking and physical activities. Keep hydrated. Drinking lots …

Durdle Door Holiday Park Review

Durdle Door Holiday Park will always have a special place in my heart, it's somewhere I have been visiting for 25 years. Admittedly it has been a few year since I last visited. Over May bank holiday I decided it was time to visit and reacquaint myself with Durdle Door. Durdle Door Holiday Park Review   The location is breathtaking it always was and that has never changed. The landscape along the Jurassic coast is magnificent with so much to offer. If you love to walk, if you love to stare into the distance looking at magnificent vistas you won't be disapointed. What about Durdle Door Holiday Park I was there for 3 nights and stayed in the unallocated part of the campsite called the Rockery. This part of the site is a long thin stretch with a gravel road running through the centre of it. You enter through the north side and drive along to the south side which points out toward the sea. There are 3 camping pods one at the north end entrance and two at the south end. …

Packing for a Car Camping Adventure

When it comes to exciting and unique ways to have a blast on a camping trip while keeping the costs down, you can’t go wrong with car camping. The trick to successfully car camping is all in the preparation; let’s start with packing your car. I recommend buying several large clear containers that fit nicely in your trunk for holding everything you’ll need during your camping experience.

You can sort them by utility to make sure you always know where everything is, for example a container for clothes, another one for kitchen supplies, another for food. It keeps the car neat, and keeps you from having to deal with clutter rolling around the inside of your car making a mess and blocking your view from the mirrors.

I like to keep these containers packed and ready to go in my garage at all times. That way if I feel like a spontaneous camping trip, it’s only a matter …
