When it comes to tents I am a huge nerd and love absolutely everything about them. The coolest tents might be a very subjective subject but I will try and discuss the facts as much as possible.
I’m such a big fan of tents that I’m somewhat of a collector and have far more than I need lying around my house; some of them are in bad shape and really should just be thrown out.
The reason I have so many tents is I love buying them when they come out.
I understand that for some people buying a tent when it’s 10 years old and going cheap at a garage sale makes financial sense, but I love a brand new tent innovation that’s changed something fundamental and is going to radicalize my camping experience!
So due to my love of tents, the following is my tent wish list, a bunch of incredible tents that would be a blast to try out in the wild.
The Kahuna Tent
This Polynesian inspired tent is built as part of a canoe, similar to Polynesian outrigger canoes.
You can sleep inside the tent while on a body of water, which must be an absolute blast.
Stronghold Tent
This baby is designed for rough conditions. With double walls and a sturdy exoskeleton this tent can withstand torrential blast of wind, storms and rain. It’s also super large as it’s a 10 person tent so it will fit you very comfortably as your battered by the elements.
Series 2 Expedition
This tent is great for those of you who travel the country on your motorbike.
The tent fits you comfortably on one side, and houses a tent garage on the other side to shelter your bike.
Tentsile Stringray
This incredible tent can be hung between trees and slept in high above the ground.
It’s accessible through a floor hatch through which you can climb up a ladder from the ground. You can hang another hammock underneath to make a bunk tent, and even connect it to other Stringray tents to create a tent community.
JakPak
This amazing hybrid is the combination of a tent, a sleeping bag and a jacket.
You can wear the jacket all day, then lay it down and fold it out into a tent form at night.
It’s waterproof so you can sleep easy and safe from the elements.
2Seconds tent
This amazing tent is ready to go as soon as you throw it.
You just prepare the folded contraption and throw it into the air, by the time it hits the ground it will have sprung open and will land as a fully prepared tent.
See Through Tent
This mind blowing tent is the picture of luxury for those looking to camp on the fancier side.
It’s extremely sturdy and comes with options both for completely clear and semi clear.
Gigwam
This tent village is a series of tents connected by tunnels that can house two people per tent.
You can easily connect them up and crawl between them to visit your family and friends.
